Rifle Accuracy work :
- Glass bedding
- A properly bedded rifle will place its shot the same every time without the variables
introduced by an unbedded or improperly bedded rifle
- Lapping of the crown
- The last variable introduced by the rifle or shooter. We lap all crowns instead of
cutting them as this gives a perfectly centered , burr-free finish.
- Bore care
- This can be as simple as a thorough cleaning ,cutting shortening and re-crowning to
correct a funneled muzzle, lapping a bore or setting a barrel back and re-chambering to
correct for an eroded throat. The last operation allows us also to square the action and
lap the lugs as we can re-headspace to the new dimensions.
- Rebarreling
- We will rebarrel your rifle with a Douglas or Hart barrel -your choice of contours
.Re-barreling includes squaring the receiver and lapping the locking lugs on most
rifles. Other barrel makers on request, but we have had very good results with these for
the past 25 years. We have tried other premium makers in the past- most make very nice
barrels but none as consistently predictable as these.
- Trigger Work
- We use Timney Triggers for those
models where they are available. We can also do very nice trigger jobs on your factory
trigger on most makes.
